Are you new comer or fresher in Adobe Products, Then Imagine about your work.
How?
Just take an example, You imagine some color either Background or Foreground, it can be anything. Make it available on your color palette window in Adobe Photoshop. And create a new window, give the size some what in pixel or mm or cms or inches and specified the resolution amount, then select the color mode, like RGB or CMYK or Greyscale, whatever you like.
As given the statement was, make sense it work, as New Document of your ready to work mode.
Now you could select the Eye dropper tool from your Tool box on left screen. Then select the foreground color and fill it. (alt+delete:windows), (option+delete:mac).
If you want change the foreground color or background color, you can use ‘x’ character, it will gives the interchange option.
This is very simple creation for who are all looking as new comers.
